Copy this into your coding agent
The Set up using a coding agent prompt in Bench onboarding or Getting started already contains your connect command and setup key; prefer it. If you are starting from this page instead, paste the following into Claude Code, Codex or another coding agent in your project.1
Send one request
Install the SDK or attach the OpenTelemetry bridge, then send one real request.
Bench draws the runtime, agents, model calls, tools and hand-offs from that
trace. See SDK setup.
2
Register model calls and understanding
Traces do not carry editable prompt text. Your coding agent registers each
model call with a code-derived key, its resolved message text, the model
configuration and the conditions that decide which pieces are sent, and records
purpose, rules, examples and system structure. See Bench from coding agent.
3
Read the quick scan, then bench
The quick scan shows quality and cost findings as soon as the system exists.
Every finding has a Bench button. A bench needs recorded purpose and rules.
